Ramon Ortiz, RHP (8-8, 5.44)
Ortiz is in the midst of his best stretch this season. The right-hander is 2-1 in his last three starts, and he's given up three earned runs in 20 2/3 innings pitched in those contests. In his last outing, Ortiz went a season-high 7 2/3 innings against the Giants, picking up the win.


John Patterson, RHP (7-4, 2.38)
Patterson will face the Reds for the second time in his career. He is 1-0 wit a 3.52 ERA against them. In his last start, Patterson pitched seven innings against the Mets and gave up one run on seven hits. He struck out four batters and walked two. The run was scored in the bottom of the seventh inning. With a runner on second base and one out, Victor Diaz singled to right field to drive in Ramon Castro. The Mets won the game, 1-0.
