She sounds pretty dominant (or maybe it's you being the submissive?).   :mg:   I'd do the thing she wants you to do with regards to the birth of your child.

Seriously, though, your father would not want you to miss your child's birth to take him to a game.

  • That’s gonna be a no from me, doge.
:lmao: at the birth of a child being overhyped.

Also, nothing was boring to me as a first time parent. Now that I have a toddler, infants seem pretty dull but I was hanging on every new development my little guy had.

PB is right on if there are complications. Tons of births end up going to emergency C-Sections now, and if that happens your wife will not be able to out of bed, lift the baby, etc.

I don't think there's ever been a more appropriate time for this gif in history.

I took a pretty good ribbing on the potential last name change. Prior to getting married, I would have clearly joined in on the ribbing if it were another poster. The "Good Will Hunting" clip though from WhiteWhale hit too close to home (there's a moment from 1:57 to 2:06 where my current day to day experiences are similarly paralleled to what Robin Williams discussed with Matt Damon). When you see the minute to minute obstacles that my wife has to conquer daily that we take for granted because of a curve ball life dealt her three years ago, it can change your views on some things. So yes, the name change is more to preserve a legacy she worked hard to build that is progressively being taken away from her.

Are you using a Nicholas Sparks plot generator for trolling purposes?

You don't have to explain this to the freak nuts on this forum. Your family does what's right for your family.

But don't freak it up and try to go to a game on your kid's actual birthday.

Things you can miss to go to a World Series game:

- Execution of family member (unless it's a beheading or firing squad)
- Chemotherapy treatment
- Removal of hemorrhoids
- Prostate exam
- Weekly "date" with Backpage escort
- Thursday nights with Blue at Good Guys
- Dinner with the President

Things you cannot miss to go to a World Series game:

- Birth of a child
- Turning off life support for your wife/child/parent
- Threesome with Samantha 38G and Nina Hartley

  • Hell yes!
Call me crazy but I recommend a hospital for giving birth.

Well, there is that nice little coffee table / seating area over to the right of the bar.

And the bar sink can be used to wash off all the gross crap. Placenta & whatnot can go on the grill at Jammin Island for those so inclined (I have known several new fathers who engaged in this practice - I guess we are mammals after all).

Looks like this thread is a moot point.
