Hey guys and girls, thanks for a great season! Never have I felt so content with a losing season (in any sport/league.)

My wife is happy.   She gets the TV back for the rest of the year.   I told her, "Enjoy it because next year, we'll have another month of games."

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 80th win, each season:

2005 - 27th September (158th match of season)
2011 - 28th September (161st and final match)
[2007 - finished 73-89]
[2006 - finished 71-91]
[2010 - finished 69-93]
[2008 - finished 59-102]
[2009 - finished 59-103]

---

Too bad we couldn't get 81 wins but this is something to build on - best record since the '05 Overachievers and a great 15-5 run down the stretch.

Is it spring training yet?

Hell of a way to end the season fellas! Glad I got to hang out here a lot this summer, although my posting has decreased since school has started back up. Should be a fun off-season, and the team definitely gave us a lot to look forward to.

Now the best part of baseball starts; the offseason. Not the postseason. The offseason. Raise a glass for C.J. Wilson!

Sign a CJ Wilson and trade for a CF and a reliever and bench player here and there and I'll call that successful. sign fielder/pujols too

He handled the whole situation so diplomatically, that I really hope he's back now.

cool highlights but Ramos is definitely number 1 IMO. The Grand Slam homerun is pretty awesome but Ramos' walkoff came out of nowhere.
