This leads to another discussion about whether or not PEDs really make you a better hitter.

I guess I do wonder when Cabrera did start using PEDs. Hmmmmm ....

With the Yankees.  They had a crap-load of guys on PEDs.

I'm not on a high-horse about the use of PEDs anyway, I think everyone should be allowed to use them.  freak it.

But why would he stop using them if he got away with it for so long?

Did you not see where the report came out a month or so before Melky was actually announced as having been busted?  The Giants wrote a letter to the Chronicle demanding the journalist write an apology for reporting a falsehood and then the official report came out three weeks later.  It was disgusting how they made that reporter apologize and then the Giants didn't extend the same courtesy.

I'm surprised there weren't a few columns demanding that,  the again maybe they turned melky so hard because he lied to them too

Doesn't the testing get more intense after you test positive?

I just remembered that Morse was in the race for the batting title up until the last couple weeks of 2011.  He has big time pop and does everything a .300 hitter does.  Why would we trade that?  I feel like there is no way that we get fair value for him so let's just keep him.  He's a fan favorite anyways.  He'll make a great hitting coach someday.

More bat speed and more power takes weak grounders out of the outfield...

This guy went from the worst regular player in baseball while on the Royals to MVP candidate - the drugs HAD to have an influence

he batted .305 with 18 bombsand 20 steals in 2011 for the royals.  not exactly "worst regular player in baseball" numbers.

the year before that he batted .274 with a .336 OBP and 13 homers.  So if he started juicing in 2011 then he is still a good hitter.

So we're just ignoring everything prior to 2010?

2009: .274/.336/.416 13 homers

Also had good seasons in 2006 and 2007

Tyler says he wants to pass on any known roiders. Simply pointing out that we have a known roider and it has paid off.

Melky on a one year, prove it deal, is a good option if the club decides to trade Morse.
