We're down by 1 run. This is not 2008, maybe you should set your clock ahead
that's not the point. you just can't make the mistakes that we do early in the game letting pitchers off the hook and expect to win many games.

We should have rocked Lowe in the first and set the tone for the whole game. Instead we settled for 1 measly run and the Braves got all of the momentum.

nice grab by Dukes

Face the facts. Nothing this team does makes you happy. You always focus on the negatives.

While most people see this:

SF insists it is because of this:

One of the problems with being one run down is that we have to score 2 runs to win AND hold them to no more, minimally.

all of our starters and potential starters in AAA have been terrible as of late. discouraging.

How is that possible? Our farm system is supposed to be in the top half of the league.  :?

The sad thing is that SF is very knowledgeable and knows his Nats and baseball in general. I can't for the life of me, figure out why he's so pessimistic always.

SF uses his heel to kick his own balls. He's both a sadist and a masochist.

the only 2 guys I was referring to as struggling in the Minors were Martis and Detwiler.

The starters in AA and A+ have been pretty solid. DS is going to be the first '09 draft pick to play in the Majors. Are you excited to watch him pitch next month? :az:

sucks. you score runs off of pitchers like Lowe early when you have the chances or you may not score again at all.

53 pitches through 4 IP. breezing through our lineup

detwiler has been better in AAA than Martis.  Det has had one bad start in AAA whereas Martis has had a few.

And a lot of the guys in A are long ways away from contributing and most are #5 SP options at best (which most of the guys we have now are).

OK since natsfan4evr ate up the first trivia here is one about the Braves.
Name the seven players who have worn Atlanta Braves uniforms that are in the Hall of Fame? Hint; 4 are pitchers and 3 players

up and swinging early in the count. :?

this game feels just like last night. offense blows it early and then takes the rest of the night off.

Off the top I can think of Gaylord Perry, Phil Neikro, Hank Aaron and Eddie Matthews (does Warren Spahn count?). I'm not sure who the other three are.
