He is right that he is finally playing in a baseball city.
You can't argue against that. Washington and Pittsburgh may have qualified decades ago but not anymore.
Washington qualified in 2005, before Lerner sucked the life out of this team.
2005 was the "ooh, shiny" effect.
Here's Morgan slashing a double into the RF corner and falling on his face trying to make a triple out of it...http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2011_04_14_milmlb_pitmlb_1&highlight_content_id=13791785&c_id=mil
"There is just good chemistry here, and everybody gets along. That's what you need to have a great ballclub and to succeed. Our goal is to reach the playoffs. It starts from having a good skipper. And when you have a good skipper -- and he brings his personality into the locker room that's full of energy and has a great atmosphere -- that's a piece of the puzzle that people don't realize."
He's been on fire still..476/ .522 /.762/ OPS 1.284
So what? We all know that his eventual line will be about half that."It's only 12 games""It's April""Small sample"etc.
That's the way I'm thinking as well.Either... A) Nyjer and the Brewers come into town and roll over the Nats.orB) The Nats bean Nyjer and a huge brawl breaks out and the Nats are a closer team because of it.Don't see what else could possibly happen. No way this is a quiet three game set. Though, I don't expect Nyjer to start tonight with Gorzo on the mound.
he's gonna come out fired up. wouldn't surprise if we bean him sometime this weekend.
Doesn't stop folks from criticizing poor performances from most of our lineup.
Desmond, Ankiel, Werth, LaRoche are no where near their "career patterns". Edit: Ok, I guess Ankiel is near his last two years.
Sorry, misunderstood what you meant by career patterns.
