Joe Blanton is licking his chops at the thought of facing that lineup.

This was the one game of this series we really needed to win. Doesn't look good before it even starts  :|

Our 3, 4, and 5 hitters are out.  That's good news for any opposing pitcher.

I understand that, but with Blanton, he is more likely to shut out a good offense than a crappy one. It doesn't make much sense, but its the way it seems to work out for him.

I understand that, but with the Nationals, we're more likely to get shut out by a crappy pitcher than a top ace.  It doesn't make sense, but its the way it seems to work out for us.

Or when all their regulars are out to put up 14 runs, regardless of who's pitching.

Hah, I just sent this to a Philly fan I talk to all the time (yeah, I know I know), and he said this:

"joe blanton licks his chops all the time bc theres potato chip remnants on them"

Nats win a slugfest.  11-9.  Desmond hits a triple.  Espinosa and Ankiel both homer.  Werth will hit one double and walk 3 times.  Livo touched early for 6 runs but Gaudin comes in and does a respectable job.

We're starting Livo, so I'm not sure making fun of their guy for being fat is the way to go here.

True, but I didn't say it.

Personally, I couldn't even make fun of both guys, given my midsection.

A bunch of phillies fans are trying to register.  Hard to say when I'm going to have time to review their applications, I've been so busy lately

We don't do that dude.  If you want to keep them out make the right of passage proving the ability to carry intelligent conversation.

This will be the first game of the year on MASN2 and so far Cox Cable has 771 listed as Comcast SportsNet Plus Overflow.  Not worried yet...

Let me know if any new "Nats" fans come along looking for directions to the Philly bus tailgate lot.
