What's going to be the first Opening Day interleague matchup?

Edit: Phillies vs. Royals

There's now a press release on MLB.com detailing some of the most interesting interleague matchups. MLB is hyping, among other things, the Cubs visiting Oakland for the first time in their history, the Dodgers visiting Yankee Stadium for the first time since 1958, and Ozzie Guillen returning to the south side of Chicago for the first time.

MLB seems overly confident that Guillen won't be fired by May 2013.

I hope that Brewers game on the 4th is another early start. We should have that every single year.

Yep. I hope that becomes a tradition. And it gives the Nats great national exposure since it got picked up by MLBN and it's the only game on at that time.

I see the Angels at Cincinnati on April 1st... The Phillies open at Atlanta for 3 games, then go home to face the Royals in Philly.

i usually participate in these types of threads with a clear cut answer, but honestly, we could beat anyone.  this team is good enough to have to worry about match-ups and everything.

So Dunner will get to come back home?

Same with Hammer? Hope they both get big rounds of applause.

Aug 19-22 - @ The Cubs
Aug 23-25 - @ Kansas City

Book it.  I've basically got a year to figure out how to pay for it.

Do you mean that the Dodgers will be visiting Yankee Stadium for the first time since 1978?  I seem to recall a World Series between these two teams back then.
