Remember how great Shairon Martis was at the beginning of last season? There's a reason we haven't heard of these guys before.
Atilano is probably a career AAAA guy

I don't like the fact that when pitchers leave the game w/ a runner on first, they are charged with that run if the next pitcher allows him to score. It's okay when they're in scoring position, but not when they're on first. Bugs me.

I disagree. They put the guy on base, they should be held responsible

It always kind of bugged me too.  I've always thought that they should charge .5 runs to both the guy that put them on base and the guy that let them score, but haven't put a whole lot of thought into how it would work out statistically.

I noticed that too. The Yankees still don't allow facial hair, right? I think he grew it, just because he could

I think the number of outs should also figure into the equation. As ronnynat said, for instance, if the runner is left on first and there are two outs and the runner scores it should probably be charged to the reliever. At times pitchers are left in to intentionally walk a batter and then taken out. If the reliever then gives up the run it's still charged to the other pitcher.

Bruney FINALLY pitches a clean inning.  It seems like weeks since he's contributed anything positive.  Yesterday in the post-game presser, Riggs made a very clear point that other 'pen guys need to step up, that the club can't rely on CLippard and Capps every time they are trying to get a win in a close game.  I was thinking BRUNEY when he was speaking, as the prime objective of that comment.

I'll be surprised if we get a base runner with these last 6 5 outs.
