Oh, cool. It's just strange to see a temporary beach volleyball court built in and around such regal settings. Actually, it's pretty cool.
In fact on a December 2010 visit (I usually go to London about once a year) I saw signs announcing the plans for the construction of the beach volleyball site there.
I also saw the main venue when I was there this past March - it was pretty far along by then, with a huge new shopping mall built next door, plus easy access at Stratford tube station (Central and Jubilee lines).
