Either the MLB post-season needs a radio outlet other than ESPN Radio or ESPN Radio needs to get on an outlet in this area that doesn't have the amount of football commitments that AM-980 does. None of the Friday, Saturday or Sunday matches was on AM-980 (seconded to AM-570, if indeed they were broadcast at all - can only receive sporadically) - Saturday there was a Maryland match and Sunday there was the full NFL menu but what was the excuse for Friday - all they had on that evening was their usual talk shows. And we won't get the World Series on 980 till Game 3 on Saturday - Games 1 and 2 pre-empted by talk shows (Glassie, Kornheiser re-runs; also Maryland coach's show on Thursday which ends at 20.00 so really shouldn't conflict with Series Game 2).

Point the First. They are from Texas.
Point the Second. They are the only MLB team I saw live this year, aside from their Nefarious Visiting Team, the A's.
Point the Third. They are a freaking ton of fun, especially Elvis Andrus, who is 100% win.
Point the Fourth. A certain lady friend is a Rangers fan.
Point the Fifth. The St. Louis Cardinals (drink) are evil.

Over the past 3+ years on my AL fantasy team, I've had Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton, David Murphy, Endy Chavez, Michael Young, Elvis Andrus, Mike Napoli (I think), Darrren Oliver (my go to MR when I need to dump somebody) and CJ Wilson. I lost out on picking up Holland as free agent by only bidding $7 for him, could not make a move for Moreland when he was called up, and let Kinsler go in the draft this year once the bidding got higher than $35. I wanted the Nats to trade Nick Johnson for Mitch Moreland in May of '09 when the Rangers started well but Davis was bombing out. Also, Omar Vizquel spent time with them and is another go to replacement when I need someone who will not kill average.

While the Rangers do not crack my top 3 AL teams, I love watching them. On top of all that, I had the joy of Tom Hicks losiing their team and Liverpool in bankruptcy. now if Ryan would just tear a rotator cuff patting himself on the back . . .
