Video Games (2009-2011)
« Topic Start: April 09, 2009, 11:04:45 AM »
Why not?  How bout a place to talk about video games in general?

I'm a COD4 addict.  I beat GTAIV the other day again but about a week ago I was hooked on that too.

If there's already one of these let me know and I'll take my public beating quietly.

I'm pretty hooked on CoD:WaW and I'm playing some College Hoops 2k8.

Has anyone played MLB 2k9? Is it as terrible as the reviews say it is?

I actually enjoyed 2k9 when I rented it.  But 2k8 made me want to destroy things around the house so it didn't take much to improve for 2k9.

Goldeneye was probably the most played game in my elementary/middle school.

My favorite level was the facility.

I liked Donkey Kong for SNES.

Also, DK 64 for Nintendo-64 was one of the best games I've ever played.

Donkey Kong Country 2 was the crap.

and so was that mario game on the gameboy you posted.

Games I play now are MLB 2K9, COD4 and WAW, and thats about it pretty much. I dabble with wow as well, i find that crap fun.

JMU - Goldeneye was awesome.

SF - Donkey Kong games on N64 were amazing.

I also sweated Triple Play Baseball (Sega Genesis), Ken Griffey Jr Baseball (N64), Royal Rumble and wCw/nWo, X-Men (SG) and a few others I can't remember.

Right now all I'm playing is College Hoops 2K8, MLB 2K8 and Call of Duty: World @ War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

My favorite level was the facility.

one-shot kill, pistols only, no music, in the dark with surround sound, volume turned up to Max.

that's the only way to play Goldeneye.

I preferred throwing knives, but perhaps that's because I rocked with throwing knives.

Friends and I would pull all nighters with Goldeneye. One-Shot kill was the way to go.

We got so good at it, we knew by heart the angles and where to ricochet grenade launches.

growing up when i was a kid ... friends coming over, we'd order a bunch of pizzas, stay up til 4 am and play goldeneye ... that was the life.

It was taco bell for us. We'd take the evening and go over to Cameron Run and play a game of mini-golf. At the end of the game we would purposely pocket the ball on the 18th hole so we could throw it over the fence into the nearby wave pool. We'd then go and load the trunk of a car with Taco Bell and race home to play Goldeneye and WCW Revenge until 6am or until we passed out.

Greatest summer of my life was spent that way.

great gun, I have a personal preference to the Goldeneye RPG...

I had forgotten about Revenge, that was a great game as well.  NBA Jam was another one that I played for endless amounts of time ("IS IT THE SHOES!?")
