Zimm has a chance to get out of his slump here.

Zimmerman could hit a granny here and it still wouldn't mean crap.

It probably wouldn't be worse though either. Don't you think a change is merited after losing 9 straight?

Absolutely. But the worst part about this team going into the season was that we didn't have depth at the right positions in the minors. Our pitching was supposed to be pretty bad. Our offense has been the biggest letdown to this point.

I do think Detwiler, Balester, and Clippard should get their opportunities sooner rather than later, though. Offensively, we'll just have to wait for guys to get off the DL and reevaluate our team then.

They seriously need to stop kissing Zimmerman's ass. He hasn't deserved it at all so far.

Even without DUkes and WMP, tha home-run production has been very disappointing thus far this season.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Austin Kearns does not have a clutch bone in his body.

So far, we've been out-homered at Nats Park, 11 to 3.

Doesn't surprise me much at all. Depends on what you expected from Milledge and Kearns. I'm still thinking 18-20 for Kearns, but I'm still not sure about Milledge. He likes swinging at pitches he can't really elevate.

Did anybody hear that little anecdote they just told about Manny and a fan who asked him what things would be like if they hadn't lost game 3 in Philly?

I can't wait to see what Ray Knight has to say after the game today.  He's the only person in the entire organization that calls a spade a spade and doesn't make bullcrap excuses for the inexcusable.

On the bright side, the Habs are playing tonight and they're going to destroy Boston again.

Cordero "wont necessarily be thrust right into the closing role?"  What exactly does that mean?  They think we have someone more suitable?  Or maybe it's just that they know we're never going to need a closer at this rate

Man we can't even do anything off of what is easily the worst bullpen in baseball.
