*Meyer, Brad Meyers is on the Yankees' DL.

Meyer on the other hand is in Potomac... and scheduled to pitch tonight, I believe.

That's what imref meant to say, I was just pointing out that Meyers =/= Meyer.

wild game at potomac today.  The P-Nats jumped to a 7-0 lead in the 2nd inning on a grand slam HR by Jason Martinson, only to blow it over the next two innings as Olbrychowski got tagged for 8 runs.  Final score was 11-8 with Myrtle Beach winning.

This was the first game at Potomac for us this year.  We got there early enough to watch Alex Meyer working in the bullpen.  I didn't realize he was that tall, but he towers over everyone else.   We also got a ton of autographs from just about everyone, including Tracy.  The one other guy that stood out was Michael Taylor, he looks like a younger, thinner Destin Hood.

A story about Blake Kelso. Apparently, he and Kevin Keyes have been playing on all star teams together since little league.

If you bring a ticket stub from the new BATMAN movie, not only will the Pnats give you a discount, they will make a contribution to the Colorado victims.

He's really kept the walks down.

Yep. I'm excited about Mooneyham. Nice upside.

Robert Benicasa (7th rounder out of FSU) looks like he may have a future as a bullpen arm. 14 Ks and just 1 BB in his first 10.2 professional innings. He could be a quick riser.

I like him a lot. Great breaking ball.

i really liked the mooneyham pick.  he didn't look good in the college world series game i saw him pitch (but i have seen him pitch before where he was very sharp).

INF Zach Walters is one step closer to the big leagues. On Friday morning, Walters was promoted to Triple A Syracuse. #Nats #MLB

The #Nats have been looking for back up middle infielder ever since Ian Desmond went down with an injury. Walters may be the answer.

Interesting move as Walters had cooled down over last week or so. .237/.275/.342 over last 10 games. I'm not sure advancing him this fast is a good idea. They need to get a veteran guy to play up the middle.

I know a lot of us are unhappy (including me) with our lack of international signings but it looks like the Nats may have something in Raudy Read.

He's shown good power in the DSL (7 HRs in 174 ABs) and he's getting on base at almost a .330 clip.

Pretty good numbers for an 18 year-old catcher.

Estarlin Martinez at Auburn is having a nice season too. He's only 20 yet he's getting on base at over a .400 clip.
