another loss tonight and prices should decline by 50%.

That might be a little over the top but you may be on to something. People are not going to buy tickets for games they think might not get played. At the very least, enthusiasm will wane for a team that limps into the playoffs.

So if prices drop, it's then the perfect time to jump in. I'm a contrarian through and through.

So, you're more of a value investor than a growth investor? :-)

Yea, I guess. But I'm a contrarian with everything else in life.:-)

Got my NLDS tickets in the mail today. Just the ones from the STH presale, not the scripts. 4 tix for all three games. With the 6 in scrips that will make my partners, family and friends very happy. I can't imagine they won't be snapped up.

All I saw was "overlooking the bullpen" and thought I was gonna have a chance to do the "finga gunz" with the man himself... sadly I will be overlooking the visitors bullpen.

Smithian is now a celebrity. He will be mobbed during the playoffs. I personally want an autograph. On one of those big sponge fingers, of course.

does anyone know when they will finalize the schedule?  I see game 3 of the NLDS is either tuesday the 9th or wed. the 10th.

I think it depends on whether we are playing the wild card team or not.  The 2d and 3d division winners would play game 3 on the 9th while the wild card v. the top record would play game 3 on the 10th.

The schedule is already set, we just need to find out where the Nats are seeded and we'll know the date and opponent for each game. Only the start times are unknown.

To be safe I've told my wife to assume that I'm booked for the entire month of October, if she was to make plans she'll need to arrange for a baby sitter.

I'm hoping for a #2 seed. My anniversary is on Oct 12, and if it goes to 5 games as a #1 seed, I've got major decisions to make.

Easy, celebrate on the 13th, no chance of a game on that date in any scenario. (except a rain out)

My anniversary is on 10/3, i'll be at Nats Park.

Not sure if this is frowned upon or not, but if anyone is looking for Home game 2 tix to NLDS, I have a pair in 142 that i'll let go for face.  A Friend picked up 4 the same day in 104 and we plan to sit together leaving me with 2 I can't use.

Most likely no change.  Those are the games that were only available via strips at this point so there are a lot fewer tickets available and the highest percentage in the hands of fans who actually plan on using them.

Based on the numbers OldChelsea posted I'd list those on StubHub at the low end of the current price range and get your money back before risking prices dropping.

about a 9-10 dollar drop in game 2 and 3 prices and an increase in supply. now they announce SRO tickets will be available on gameday. that should cool the secondary market further as people hope for tickets. only thing that might create a jump is when we know the opponent and cardinals and braves fans start buying. you got a couple days or week before that is settled

That's not the only thing at all.

It depends if we're the #1 seed (series starts vs. WC winner on Sunday 10/7 with 2 road games, day off, up to 3 home games) or the #2 seed (series starts on Saturday 10/6 vs. Giants, same format)
