If that's the case, then cool. Still would like to see the numbers and what amounts were made available at each pre sale and what not. Just a curiosity at this point.

The Mets have sold tickets directly on stubhub and I'm fairly certain the Nats have as well. As far as discouraging brokers, just the opposite, the team gets an extra premium on all transfers so they are making thousands every game from resales.

I am so psyched to have tickets for Home Games 2 and 3 of the NLDS!!!!  I actually hope I don't need the ticket for Game 3 and can use the refund from that ticket towards the purchase of an NLCS ticket.

I was in the waiting room for about 20 minutes.  I got in but then got timed out.  I then went back and got tickets for Home Game 3, as they were saying that Home Game 2 was sold out.  Immediately after I processed the transaction for Home Game 3, I refreshed my browser and tickets for Home Game 2 were available.

Upper Infield Gallery for each which is fine.  $35 is a fair price for playoff tickets for those sections.  I'm Row M for one game and Row B for another game.

By the way, per Peter Kerzel at MASN, the lower seeded team gets the first two games at home in the division series round.  That would be the 3d best division winner v. the second, and the wild card winner v. the best record.

I found the MLB site useless on this point, and the Yahoo article only referenced the wild card winner as hosting.  Pretty lousy writing.

So it's a pretty safe bet that we'll be in the situation of hosting Games 3, 4, and 5.

Hopefully we'll be hosting just Game 3.

I saw tickets were available an hour ago for the 2nd and 3rd home games, but now none are available in any reasonable price range. I was hoping to get them when I got home (transactions over the phone are near impossible). My father got 3 tickets this morning (with the plan that I buy the last two) but we'll probably just zip to StubHub for the last two tickets. Gonna be a fortune, but should be worth it :)

A little misplanning on my part... but we should still be able to go, so that's good.

Have any season ticket holders here received their playoff strips yet?  My ticket rep told me last week that they'd be going out by this week.

Nope. Not yet. Somebody said that they showed up in their MyNationals account but they're not in mine.

For those curious about game times, I've found this incredibly helpful:

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/postseasonpicture.jsp

It shows which *LDSes will begin on which day. Of course it won't tell you day game or night game yet.

Mine are in my MyNationals account, but they haven't arrived at home yet.

...and here (my tickets were actually listed in my account some days ago - all the way to the World Series).

My regular tickets for 2013 are listed but there's no reference to the scripts. I did get an email confirmation and my cards were charged so I know the transaction was done.

And I assume that the NLDS series starting on Sunday Oct 7 involves the 1 seed and the play-in winner.  We could in theory have 5 straight home games here (NLDS games 3-5 and then NLCS games 1 and 2)

Wow.  So they could be billing us for the World Series on the day they are knocked out of the playoffs (10/10)?

I just tried to transfer the tickets to myself so I could print and email them to people as needed. When I did that in the system they come up as "Invalid"

This is most likely due to the fact the dates, times, and opponents haven't been defined yet, but I found it funny.

tickets on stubhub right now are 51 and 59 dollars for games 3 and 4. that'll probably come out to $63. 21 dollars more than the cheapes this morning. that is hardly costing a fortune

Those are for the cheapest seats in the house, I bet. I checked the price of tickets of tickets in my section on SH and they are going for 2.5 face value minimum. I think that will moderate as the market settles but who knows.

List a ticket for sale and put the price at ~$5K, this will give you access to the actual sale prices, sellers on Stubhub ask for a lot but the true market gauge is the quality sold and the sale prices.

I took a look at that specific price for WS Game 4 - these are three listings, in sets of 2 to 4 tickets each, through rows DD, EE and FF of section 137 (right field corner, just to the right of Nats bullpen).

There are a pair going in my row for $942 each.

Perhaps some of you don't look at Stubhub often, but I do.  I find these sort of ridiculously priced tickets all the time. For example a seat close up in section 116 for a nothing special regular season game selling for $600 while an equivalent seat is selling for $75.   $942 is not market value for those two seats.

I would be shocked if people get those prices on a consistent basis. I'm no veteran at this reselling thing, but the Springsteen tickets, for example, were astronomical at the beginning and came down to face value by the time the show came around.
