Playoff Ticket Secondary Market Watch
« Topic Start: September 13, 2012, 10:53:49 AM »
For those of us who are not season ticket holders and won't get lucky in the lottery:

http://www.stubhub.com/washington-nationals-tickets

NLDS tickets can be had from $60 up
NLCS tickets can be had from $100 up
World Series tickets can be had from $300-500 up

About 3,000 tickets to each playoff game are already being listed on the secondary market. I imagine that the supply will substantially increase after the initial sale to the public.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this - I hope I can catch 1 playoff game, and stub hub is the only way I can.

The pre sale is next Wednesday, you don't need to be a plan holder you just need the coupon code.

How do I get the coupon code? That seems like a viable alternative.

...meanwhile, every remaining regular-season home fixture except for the Brewers/Bentley Saturday twin-bill has tickets available on StubHub for under $10 - in some cases 4000+ tickets are available.

Has everyone suddently got football on the brain and can't stick with the most exciting baseball times we've had in this area since FDR took office? Sad.

That's the case for most of the NL contenders. Other than special promos, esp. mid-week games, StubHub is showing lots of cheap seats in LA, Pittsburgh, SF, St. Louis, Cincy, etc.

I have been definately taking advantage of this. For the monday Cubs game I got 5 tickets for 27 bucks after processing fees, and on the following Sunday I got 8 tickets for 28. It's to a point where taking the metro is more expensive than the game.

Get on the email list.

Which email list?

I already get MLB/Nationals buy-upcoming-game-tickets emails because I order tix online.

That email list?

Or is there a different Nats playoffs tix email list?

For ST holders, Presale started Sept 11 and ends tonight at Midnight.  There is a ONE TIME USE PASSWORD

I'll be really interested to see what seats are actually made available on Wednesday, and how many together.
I managed to score 4 pretty good seats for home game 1 of the NLDS for $102.00 each, and 4 equally good seats for home game 1 of the NLCS for $95.00 each.
Both of my purchases were through secondary sellers.
The Nat's have this Section listed for $55.00 for the NLDS, though my seats are in the front row, so I'm pretty well pleased.
Prices have nearly tripled for the same seats for game 2 of each series since I bought these, and the same seats are roughly $1,300 each for World Series home game 1 or 2.

I am incredibly worried that I am not going to have ticket partners step up to buy World Series tickets.  At $530 a pair for S&S club, I'm thinking folks are going to pass.

Getting front row seats in your section might be worth the extra premium you paid.  As far as tickets available tomorrow, I'd expect there to be plenty in just about every section other than Dugout Box.  The Nats are doing their usual thing of creating a false demand by letting the supply trickle out, I would have recommended holding off on any StubHub purchases until tickets are on sale to the general public.  Based on the incredibly low demand for the remaining home games I don't see the weeknight playoff tickets selling above face value with the exception of the very best seats in the park.
