We're screwed regardless. Lohse loves facing the Nats.

However, a few guys have good track records against him:
-Werth 4/7 with 2 Doubles and 2 HRs
-Pudge 13/41 (.317)
-Nix 4/14 with a Double and HR
-Morse 3/3 with 2 Doubles

A 1:45 game? Sonuvanag, forgot to set the Tivo.

I'll listen to Charlie & Dave. :) Let's take the series.

Not much info on Gorz vs Cards, but what is there doesn't look great.  Granted what's there is mostly Pujols, Holliday and Berkman.  Silver lining - he hasn't given up homers to any of them.

I like the fact that he walks Albert. Shows he isn't a complete fool.

Comparative seasons - how late into each season before Nats posted their ninth win:

2005 - 20th April (15th game)
2011 - 20th April (16th game)
2010 - 23rd April (17th game)
2008 - 27th April (26th game)
2007 - 30th April (26th game)
2006 - 2nd May (27th game)
2009 - 7th May (27th game)

[would have tacked this on to yesterday's Game 1 GDT but it's locked now]

I feel like we should try to get that Albert Pujols guy.  He looks pretty good, no?

.309 against Gorzo is better than the .400 average the Cardinals put up in Game 1 yesterday.

Also, two evening games in a row! :woop:
I'll be listening to this one over dinner. I don't have a very good feeling about the result, but it only stands to reason that Gorzelanny will improve and Lohse will regress... right?

Talk about a GM & manager NOT being on the same page. They aren't even reading the same book.

Riggleman's switch from Ramos to Rodriguez for Game 1 was so he could get his buddy more playing time.

I guess because Pudge finally got a hit, he'll get a lot more playing time now. :smh:

Ramos is 0/8 in his last 2 starts. Riggs is going with the hot hand (Pudge) :?

Meanwhile Flores' development is completely flushed down the toilet. He should be in AAA playing everyday. They freaked him. The roster management is such a joke. I'd send down Flores and call up either Bernadina or Kimball who maybe Riggs would play.

i said that yesterday, i'm steamed that he did that.  if there was a time to play Flores, it would be today.  but it's ramos who should be playing two out of every three games.

I like how the "Kyle Lohse" history clips of striking out the nats were: Morgan, Guzman, Nieves, and Willingham.

I'd love to have a few beers but my buddy's coming over.   He and his wife need a ride to Dulles.   The sorry SOB's are off to Europe.

They always do that. Only show former Nats.
