These cats on MASN are really trying hard to give us the Nats' scoop but it ain't happening.   The set looks like an effin' board room.

Of course. The three runs in the 8th were meaningless with the way they "hit" today.
In allocating blame, using the Fangraphs's WPA, 90+% they assign to the hitters and 10% to the pitchers (-.456 WPA v. -.044).  The only players they say had a positive impact on our likelihood to win were Broderick, Morse, and Slaten.  I guess they really like leadoff hits in the middle innings of 2 run games, and holding games close by shutting out opponents over multiple innings.

You like the Nats more than the Pirates? And why are you not a Penguins fan? Or am I wrong on that?

It's a long story ... LOL   Loved the Bucs as a kid.   '92 (PIT vs ATL) killed me and then the WS cancellation in '94 soured me on baseball for awhile.    I tried to like the O's (didn't work).   Nats came to town and I was sold.   Pens?    They came to town (Pittsburgh) in '67.    I left around that time so I have no "roots" there.
