The Titans have agreed to trade the No.1 pick of the draft to the Los Angeles Rams for the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, two second-round picks (43 and 45), and a third-rounder (76) in 2016. The Titans will also receive the Rams’ first-round pick in 2017, along with their third-round pick in next year’s draft.

In addition to Tennessee’s No.1 pick this year, the Rams will also receive a fourth-round pick (113) and sixth-round pick (177) in 2016.

As a result of the trade, the Titans now have six picks in the top 76 in this year’s draft – 15, 33, 43, 45, 64 and 76. The Titans already held picks 33 and 64.

I'm curious about the cap implications of a deal like this.  I take the Titans will have a number of guys with their 6 high picks who will sign rookie contracts.  I assume all of them will be kept this year and a few will pan out to be good picks.  Does this leave them with extra cap space to sign FAs down the line or this year?  I would think the #1 would be hard to cut image-wise and would require a contract that eats up space in the out years.

Kind of off topic on the Titans...

Their uniforms are terrible.  Don't know if it's because older teams - like hockey's Original 6 - have been around for sometime that they look so damned good or what, but it's like they couldn't come up with a good idea so they stuck a "T in a circle and threw some stars and flames on it and called it a day...all the while picking some awful colors that worked for the Oilers but not to much for the Titans.

so that really makes the RG3 trade look even worse - we moved up from 6 to 2 and gave up three first rounders (including that 6th pick) and a second round pick. For the Rams to move from 15 to 2, they are giving up 2 first rounders 2 second rounders and 2 third rounders and get a fourth round pick back. Essentially, we gave up an extra first rounder vs  an extra second and two extra 3rds from the rams (and they get a fourth round pick back) to move up fewer spots

The Rule of 51 basically allows a portion of cap space for rookies (not all). Moving down from #1 to #15 is basically an $11M move to the slot value. The Rams (I think anyways) #1 next year should still be a top-10 pick. Titans will have a little extra room, cap-wise, and won't have to overpay for a LT (they already have one, but it was really their only choice; maybe Ramsey). Trading down allows them to pick a LT to move to RT or a WR. Great trade for them. They definitely won. Rams overpaid, IMO

I was at the MN game a few years ago against the 'skins at FedEx.    As much as I love my Steelers, I don't think I'll ever go back to FedEx.  But it's early.

Pats have 7 Sunday 1 pm games, 5 prime time games, 3 Sunday 4:30 games (likely national games), and one Saturday 1 pm game (I'm assuming the NFL moved the Christmas Day games to Christmas eve for everyone that Saturday).  Why bother with Sunday Ticket when half the schedule is on national TV?

I have friends who have had season tickets since 1961 who say the late night games in Foxborough, especially late in the year, just wipe them out.  Curse of success, I guess.

It is.   Steelers have been sufferin' the curse for generations.    You'll adapt.

I can't watch a MNF or a SNF game to the end when they start at 8:30.  If I can't watch it, imagine how bad it is for SPH to have to drive home after the game.  Foxborough was legendary for traffic jams prior to the new stadium.  The only thing the state kicked in money for when the Krafts built the new place was a better entrance / exit to Rte. 1 on the north side. Heinz strikes me as having more of a highway network to spread out the traffic quicker than Foxborough.  Foxborough, you basically have to drive 4 miles to I95 north for the boston and west suburbs, drive 4 or 5 miles down through local traffic to get to I95 south for providence, or take a 3 mile shot down Rte1 to get to the roads for Worcester and west.

As a relative native (been gone for over 40 years), Heinz is easy in and out.   Of course, getting out of the lots sucks.   There's plenty of parking  ...   PNC Park, Heinz, Casino and downtown (point) are all right near by.   Lots of interstates within easy access once you're out of the lots.    Boy and I parked at the point and walked over the Clemente Bridge to the stadium for an afternoon game.    Gave him the history tour.

If y'all really want a challenge...try getting to and from a Packers home game by car.  Lambeau is smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood, much like Wrigley, only the feeder roads are few and far between.  I'd rank it as the worst I've ever seen.

Some are that cheap...obviously, the closer the more they are.  I actually looked into it, but we decided the winters just would be too much for us at our advanced age...
