Who's Johnson's bench coach?

Press conference he said he wants Pat Morales.

Otherwise known as a $150 million failure.  Good job Angels.

FYI, in the Tigers-Blue Jays game, a call at first base was changed.  It was originally called safe.  The homeplate umpire said he was out.  They changed the call to out.

Jim Leyland was ejected without the flair of John McLaren, though.   :mg:

(Image removed from quote.)

Oh hell yeah McLaren.

Give it to 'em!

F'ing Bull Poop!  In your face, biatch!  And f u too!

Classic meltdown.  But awesome nonetheless.  I wish he would have stayed on.  Better than Jiggleroll and his stupid double switches.

On vacation in Colorado where I experienced a wind chill of 22 degrees this morning. I plan to download the MLB At Bat app tonight...does anyone have any feedback on it? In addition to being in my favorite place on earth, the 8:00 start time will make it much easier to stay up for the whole game :)  Go Nats!
I like it.  The version that you have to pay for has free audio so you can listen to Charlie and Dave.

Kilgore said DJ told Corrales he wanted him as his bench coach so DJ wouldn't be the oldest guy in the clubhouse.

Let 25 pages of debate over Davey starting Matt Stairs on his first night as skipper commence!  Here are my thoughts: While I have been demanding Stairs' unconditional release for two months, I don't have a problem with Johnson finding out once and for all whether this guy can still play baseball.  Start him as DH against righties and if he doesn't produce, release him IMMEDIATELY.

Gave this quite a bit of thought on my commute home tonight, and I am in full agreement.  While releasing Stairs immediately would not cause me undue duress, I can see that Johnson may well have compelling reason to give everyone a bit of a fresh start before making the personnel decisions that are sure to happen.  All the players are watching closely, and how he handles this transition period is going to make lasting impression on them.

I'm most interested in how Johnson affects Werth.  Hopefully for the better.

I'm gettin' up at oh dark thirty (0300) and runnin' but I ain't missin' DJ's opening night.   I may only make an inning or two but hell he's 68 (only a few years older than me).   Of course, he's in CA.   LOL
