Sounded like a good inning for JZimm.  How close were the pitches at the knees?

Very, but they were good calls.

FP made the comment that they're good pitches but the ump hasn't opened up his zone yet.   FP says once the umps sees JZ can hit the spot, he'll get the strike call.

This ump sucks.

It was a tiny % of the people who hit the streets though, and the police reaction was very measured considering the stupidity displayed.  That said, I have to agree with some people who say that if you go out dressed in full riot gear, you're kinda begging for something to happen.  I don't think anyone would've thrown a brick at a cop in regular uniform.  But who really knows.

Meh, I don't buy that's the reason they acted like that. But in general, I've never understood the mentality to go out and destroy stuff and assault police after your team loses. But then again, maybe it's because I'm not a moron?

That's always bugged me. A strike is a strike.

Don't kids have bedtimes anymore? Why would kids be at IHOP at 10 pm?

Me too but it seems to be true in all pro sports in varying ways.

#Nats need to hit and run here. Avoid the double play by Pudge.

10 seconds before the GIDP

Pudge  :icon_frown:

So much for working Hudson and his pitch count. That doubly hurts. Ramos can't be the full time starter soon enough.

We don't work on English time. Our kids are doing homework at 10 PM

Thought: every time Ivan Rodriguez comes to bat with a man on first, and I mean every time, Riggleman should call for a hit-and-run. At least the runner might have a chance.

And can we please stop calling him "Pudge?" He's a freaking bean-pole now that he's off the 'roids.
