If Morse's activation means that Danny Espinosa gets more days off v. RHP, then he'd have to fall pretty far for that not to be an upgrade offensively (we'll leave out the question of the defense offense trade off).

I agree, Morse was raking on his first rehab assignment until he couldn't throw the ball. Zimmerman hasn't looked good all year.

Ok here's the deal with Zimmerman. I think we may have to accept that he is going to need the offseason to heal. A couple days here and there won't do it. So, no homeruns this season. Get used to it. That doesn't mean he can't be a valuable asset, he just needs to give up on trying to knock the ball out of the park, and concentrate on hitting line drives. He could give us a .360 obp.

I may be completely wrong on this, but if I'm right, then the sooner everyone accepts this the better. Move him to leadoff.

I'm getting this feeling as well. But if we can keep him on the field he will still be dangerous, even if he's not hitting homeruns like he was during the Dunn years. He's smart and gets on base which is always valuable.

Michael Morse hit a homer as part of a 2-for-3 day in extended spring today. He'll play in extended thru Sunday, in Potomac on Monday.

Make it happen Davey. Morse's defense in RF is basically the same as LF. Crappy but still. I don't care. That would be a great lineup. Maybe Desmond in the two hole but I like Harpers on base ability better. (Desmond's OBP is still lower than Dannys. ugh)

Morse played a lot of RF in 2010, IIRC.

Wow! That's quite a line-up. Ankiel's throws from centerfield have stopped many a runner from advancing but young Mr. Harper can throw well too.

He played a lot of LF poorly last year too. He's a below avearge OF and an above average 1B, IMO.

I'd put him in LF, Harp in RF, and....Lombo in CF!

i'll look for you, we'll probably be in the grandstand behind 1st base, but we plan to get there around 4:30 or so to try and get an autograph. We got J-Zimm and R-Zimm at Potomac over the last few years.
