Would you rather Tim have a 10-15 pitch inning while giving up 2 runs or a 25-30 pitch inning while giving up zero runs?
I would take the scoreless inning anytime but that sort of pitch count is preferable for a reliever. A starter could not go more than 4 innings with stressful innings like that.
