Hate it. Wonder if Hammer and Guzman were traded, or if Riggleman is just a nutball?

Ugh. I hate lineups like this. We either get an absolute crap show or score a lot of runs. Lets hop the latter.

We just had an off day on Monday.

Either Hammer hurt himself on the slide into second, or he's been traded.

And what does Michael Morse have to do to buy a start on this team!

This TEAM hits like crap against Hudson.  We're always struggling just to not get no-hit against him.  :?

Kennedy actually hits him well, by comparison.

Dunn is a beast against Hudson, oddly.

I really don't get why they don't play Morse more........I mean he hits well, plays good defense...........what's the problem? Riggleman not like him or what?  I mean something just does not make sense........anybody got any clue as to the problem?

We've won one series in over a month (San Diego). And we've only won three additional series in well over two months (KC, Baltimore and Pittsburgh).

As I posted on MASN, Morse is a career .287 hitter versus RHP in 250+ at-bats.

What more does the guy need to do to prove he can hit everyday pitching and not simply occupy a platoon role?

I know ... we could use a sweep or two (or four)

Riggleman is obsessed with R/L matchups, so Morse has to wait to face a lefty to see action - it's idiotic, but the way it is. Don't mind Kennedy in the lineup as he is as good or better than Guzman batting from the left side. Willie is the one that has not business starting a game, but Riggs is likely going with the "Willie always hits well against his old team the Braves" theory.

If they don't deal Guzman to somebody at the deadline, this season will seem like such a waste of time giving him so much playing time and at bats high in the order.

Edit: Willie may have a great career split against the Braves, but he's sucked against Hudson.

Maybe we're trying to throw our A team out there defensive? I'd love this lineup if you swapped in AlGo for Desmond(DEFENSE)and then flipped AlGo and Kennedy in the lineup. We're not going to out score them with Hudson pitching, but by playing guys like Willie Harris and Roger Bernadina we're showing our willingness to play a defensive game.

how do you let that run score? just run him back to first, and make sure heyward doesn't go home. 1st and 3rd, 2 outs > inning over with run scored.

If by GMs you mean Omar Minaya, Brian Sabean, and Ed Wade, then sure.

Cable is out, I came in late, and I'm listening to the game... did they really let Hayward score from 3rd third while chasing someone back to first? I didn't hear that right, right?

Here's what happened. Full count, Heyward on 3rd, McCann on 1st, one out. Livo throws strike 3, McCann is running with the pitch. Pudge throws it well ahead of McCann, who runs back to first (trying to allow Heyward to score in the rundown). Desmond runs about 20 feet, throws to Dunn, and Heyward is off on the throw. Dunn throws home, but Heyward scored.
