Our pitchers are the worst in the Majors at keeping runners from stealing. Nieves is throwing some good balls to second but it's too late.. my god, I can't believe Church just stole that.

He's throwing fine.. Blame our dumb pitchers who can't hold runners.

Hah! we just took the stolen base away from the Mets, we walked Pagan. I love St Claire's game plan

what a freakin lazy tag by guzman. Nieves had him DEAD TO RIGHTS and the throw was DEAD ON.

Guzman just didn't tag him.

On any other team: Hill is not an Ace.

On the Nats: God-Ace.

Some people believe that there are only 5 or 6 "real" aces in the entire league.

with the Nats, it doesnt take much. 2 runs assures the opponent that at worse it goes into extra innings. 3 and the game is yours

Some people believe that there are only 5 or 6 "real" aces in the entire league.

And they can believe what they like. That doesn't change the fact that Nats fan highly covet mediocre pitching because basically, that's all we have ever known. This team really hasn't had a pitcher that has "stuck". Hill is the closest thing to that right now but only because he's been sitting on the DL and we can't toss a player on the DL.

I figure this time next year it will be nothing but our youngsters and guys we haven't gotten yet in the starting roles.

beautiful.. Perez smokes an RBI single.  We are freaking pathetic.  Hill is getting dominated by the #8-9 hitters just like Redding

We have shut down Reyes/Wright so far in this series yet we get lit up by crappy catchers and pitchers.

I an just so frustrated - please i beg ownership - fire St Claire, fire Manny - move Kearns into the 8th spot, Zimm to the 7th spot and any pitcher who walks or gives up a hit to the #8th hitter or 9th hitter is out of the game - right there on the spot
