Lighten up, I'm pro kid, but when it comes to catching a ball in play anything goes.
I doubt her parents had the angle to see it. She is headed up the stairs so they likely only saw the kid's back.
If I were that kid's father, I would have ripped it out of her hands.
Foul balls are for kids. Adults can go to the store and buy a baseball instead of stealing a great experience from a kid.
The little girl never established possession, she had two feet down, but didn't have control of the ball, and certainly never made a "football" move. After the interception, the woman clearly had possession of the ball and was down in her seat, ending the play. Any attempt by the kid's family to reattain the ball would have to be penalized.
I'm actually at a loss that anyone would defend that woman, and openly admit that they'd fight a child over a foul ball. It's just a freaking baseball.
I once gave a men's XL tshirt from a shirt cannon to a little boy. Why? It was because he wanted it.
I'm just saying, a stranger lays hands on my kid to take something from her, I'm not thinking straight anymore.
