Did you see the Dodgers' dugout on the replay? They were all applauding. Guzman's move was unreal there.

Very reminiscent of that Belliard play from 2007 that we were talking about last night.  Definitely a web gem.

Wasn't it LAST YEAR when the Mets fired their manager AND pitching coach, while on a west coast series.  I think the replacements were from the AAA team in New Orleans.

But it's still from within the organization. I mean hire someone who is currently out of work.

Terrible first inning for Jordan obviously but he has battled back with 5 straight scoreless frames. if the offense had done their job against a mediocre pitcher the game would be close.

oh well, I like what I see from JZ. He'll continue to have bumps along the way but he'll be fine.

This is the kid's 4th ML start. I have no problem with him taking a few lumps. I'm not giving up on him. Just as long as he doesn't make a habit of it.

Haha, yeah it is great.  I haven't been to AC yet, but I do know a girl with a house up in Ocean City NJ.  I plan on heading up there this summer.  I have heard it is a crappy city, though.  Not a surprise, as most of NJ is crap.

Dunn will walk. Dukes will tie it up with a grand salami.

I agree, rookies take there bumps.  Zimm came out and absolutely stunk in the first inning.  I am willing to partially put it off to the mound, because it is a bit higher than other parks and his pitches were all sitting high in that first inning.  The fact that he didn't adjust after he left a few hanging, though, is on him.  What I do like is that he was able to regain his composure and keep pitching (and pitch pretty well at that).

Wouldn't it be great if Dunn could launch one here.

That conservative call of holding Willingham at 3rd earlier may be very costly for us.

Yeah, but the bullpen is coming in to "save" it for us in the bottom of the inning.

AZ called money. He said we would put up a 3 spot this inning.   Moron should've said we'd put up 5 though.  :?
