Yep, same here.  I haven't watched Sportscenter, or any of the various [insert sport name] "tonights" in a long time. And I have never been a fan of those moronic shows were so called experts just yell at each other.  Even the sports broadcasts on ESPN are pretty unbearable because of the announcers they have.  MLB Tonight blows Baseball Tonight out of the water.

Orel Herschiser is tops. John Miller is pretty good. Rick Sutcliffe is awful. Joe Morgan, enough said.

I'm fine with Herschiser and Miller can be good at times, luckily it usually those two that do the CWS.  Mike Tirico (sp?) is very good on MNF and Jaws knows his stuff but is just annoying.  Kornheiser was a good columnist in the 90's, but just babbles nonsense during the MNF telecasts.

Miller's never done the CWS.  Sean McDonough has done some Mike Patrick and Gary Thorne have done a lot of games.  Unless he used to do games several years ago, Miller's never been in all the years I've been working there.

I meant to say CWS and WBC.  I also don't recall Miller ever doing the CWS.

I just checked MASN-HD to see what the status of that game is (4-4, bottom of the 8th).  The Twins have a pitcher who is humongous.  Don't know how he compares to a pitcher the Red Sox used to have (90's?) who had a nick something along the lines of El Gordo.

oh goody, Phil Wood filling in for Knight on the pre-game show since Knight flew out to Arizona to join Carpenter for that series.

I'm wondering how a manager of a 12-17 team gets fired a month into the season, but the manager of the clear-cut worst team in all of baseball has impenetrable job security.

Bob Melvin was also NL Manager of the year in '07 and took that team to the NLCS. What has Acta ever done for us? :?

Garcia sounds vaguely familiar.  Went to a few games at Fenway with my brother in law over the years and one of them el gordo came in.  It was an eye popping experience.

This is the biggest game in the history of the Washington Nationals franchise because the entire baseball world is watching.  They're watching the Mannyless Dodgers, of course.  The Nats just happen to be on the field with them.

They need to put the Dodgers down and put them down EMPHATICALLY!  They can resume stinking tomorrow night but for tonight, it's time to MAN UP!

shocker. Acta is "sad" about Ramirez testing positive. :?

Quote
Q: Your reaction to Manny Ramirez?

It is sad. To me, it's sad, because this guy is going to get his name tainted basically now forever, and this guy is one of the greatest right-handed hitters ever to put a uniform on. I don't know all of the facts, but I wouldn't change the way anything this guy has done in his career, because this guy, starting in high school up until today, he's always been a stud. And I know there's a list this long of the guys who have been tainted, but the guys that have accomplished as much as he has, that list is very short. So I refuse to believe that whatever they were doing helped him to accomplish what he has so far.

what a mother freaking joke. :hang:

Exactly what you just posted, Manny kisses other teams ass, to try and take pressure off our team, and our organization likes it.

If we can win behind Zimmermann, people will begin to know his name, if they're watching.
