**WNFF MARCH MADNESS 2012 CBS NCAA BRACKET CONTEST - FREE**

We used this CBS Bracket group a few years ago.  They keep sending renewal emails. We used ESPN in 2011, but they have no renewal information and are trying to get bracket users to buy Insider status to get more information, some of which CBS is providing for free. Go to:

First place:  Bragging rights
Second place:  "I could have won if only..."
Third  place: I got Third Place.

I set this up with the Add Seed Scoring option, which rewards picking upsets.  If a 12 seed beats a 5 seed, you add 12 points.  If the 5 seed wins, add 5 points to the basic score (which a commissioner can control, unlike ESPN):

First Round:       5 points
Second Round:  10
Third Round:     15
Fourth Round:    20
SemiFinals:       25
Finals:              30
       
They still have email addresses for Invitations from 2010 I can use. 
Entry must be created before the first game this Thursday March 15, 2012. 
You have to set up or log in to a CBS Sports ID.

SEND ME A PM IF YOU CANNOT SIGN UP WITHOUT AN INVITATION. 
E.G. The address for Sportsfan882 has a gmu,edu suffix, so that invite may not work.

CBS also has a separate Round By Round game.

Barack-etology

President Barack Obama is going back to Carolina in his NCAA tournament bracket. The president, who correctly picked North Carolina to win the 2009 NCAA championship, has the Tar Heels as the team to beat in his 2012 bracket, which was unveiled Wednesday. Obama has North Carolina beating Kentucky, the overall No. 1 seed, in the title game. Ohio State and Missouri are his other Final Four selections.

Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin’s wacky NCAA tournament bracket:
1) He signed the bracket “OVI8” at the top.
2) He picked Alabama, (who already lost to Creighton), to advance to the title game, against Kentucky.
3) His elite eight includes Kentucky, Duke, St. Louis, Norfolk State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Alabama and Georgetown.
4) He decided filling out a bracket was more of a dot-to-dot style arrow-filled maze game, rather than a fill-in-the-blank quiz.

He is currently in first place.   
He got 23 correct of the first 32 games.  Since we're using Add Seed, he has 259 points.  But the most he can get correct is only 44.
