I just had a cool stat research idea. I'll do it during innings and post it up.

So I did the research, but there's like no conclusion to draw from it really. Should I post it anyway?

Guzy get out.  Get KC out in the 5th and official.

You think Niese, a 23 year old lefty who had 5 solid starts last year, is trash?  His WHIP is a bit high (1.43) mostly due to a BABIP that is about .030 over league average.  That's the biggest negative I can find.  Do you have even the slightest bit of supporting evidence for that or is it right up there with the Jason Bay has been horrible nonsense?
It's my personal opinion. 4 homers is not what they expected from Bay at this point. They gave him the big bucks for his power. We knew Citi would affect his power, but not this much.

Niese has a high WHIP and I am not at all impressed with what I've seen from him.

Feel free to disagree, this is a free country. It also doesn't hurt that I despise the Mets with a deep passion.

It'll be over and dry within 30 minutes.  Nothing else in the area for the night.

I hope this doesn't force them to pull Atilano, he's been pitching a gem so far.

Expect 10-15 minutes of downpour followed by nothing.

4th   N Morgan hit sacrifice fly to center, I Rodriguez scored, R Bernadina to third.

Royals      0
Nationals  3

Raining and thundering in MD again.
They STOPPED the game at 8:05 PM for RAIN.

I have California Gurls stuck in my head, and I keep playing it, but I'm somewhat embarrassed by this. Solutions?

It makes you sound like a clueless homer.

Bay is on pace to hit more doubles than last year, his OBP is right where it always is and he's playing solid defense.  Just because his HR numbers are down doesn't really mean anything in that ridiculous stadium.

Niese has a grand total of two negative stats, neither of which is anything more than below average, and you think he isn't good because nothing has impressed you?  I'd be happy with a 23 year old lefty with 16 solid starts under his belt including a complete game already.  His FIP, league average K/9 and improving BB/9 all suggest he's a legit SP and nothing about what you see changes the facts.

Then Guzy wait, when it stops raining hit a triple and score on Zimmerman's HR.

You could have said a lot of the same about Lannan before this season.

If we were Mets fans, we'd be disappointed in Bay's numbers. Stop getting all defensive...it's just my opinion.

Can't they play something like This Week in Baseball? If I wanted to watch ESPNEWS, I'd turn it on myself.

I like to listen an overmuscled short dude caterwauling about demons, but I'd rather look at a busty brunette (Perry).
