Historical aside: this past off-season saw the retirement from the Brewers of Craig Counsell, who, as an Arizona Diamondback, was the first-ever batter to step into the box in a Nationals home match - he struck out to Livan Hernandez. He now works in the Brewers' front office (http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7470907/craig-counsell-retires-join-milwaukee-brewers-front-office).
