Jerome Williams is a beast.  Looks like his rotation spot is safe for now.

Carpenter refused to say it even though he said he doesn't believe in it. I don't believe in that foolishness either.

YOU JUST ENDED JW'S NO-HITTER WITH THOSE JINX COMMENTS!!

Carpenter earlier said that Cincinnati's pitcher was throwing a no-hitter so far, an obvious REFERENCE to what was happening.

Lets hope that this will give Jerome some more confidence for his next start.

Zimmerman was Christlike today.

There, I said it.  May Stanton strike me dead.

Who would have guessed Jerome Williams would be dueling Glavine in a 1 hitter?

OK it was more my fault than the fact that JW went to a full count and served him Beltran a sweet pitch down the middle.

Until we get a FRIGGIN' MOTHER******* RUN it doesn't matter.

Though props to Williams for bringing it despite some serious wildness.  That missed pitch-out was pretty comical.

Should he get benched for not hustling?

I'm joking of course.

Dave Jaegler's radio commentary was funny.  "Williams is in his home-run trot!"

Speed up, ya goober.

Hey dood, I INVENTED the "Stanton was Christlike today" meme.  I have as much a right as any man on this planet except William Michael "Jesus" Stanton himself to invoke that concept.

Lopez was out.

Yeah, he was.  Honestly I thought Reyes was safe too, on that incredible Zimmerman grab-and-throw.  But I won't complain.  Instant Karma's gonna get you, Mets!

Considering Williams let them have a chance at the DP, it was our run anyway.
