so here's the official rule:

Quote
If a player controls the ball while in the end zone, both feet, or any part of his body other than his hands, must be completely on the ground before losing control, or the pass is incomplete.

here's the video: it looks to me like he got both feet down.  There's a lot of debate, and most folk seem to be arguing that it was essentially a "tie", his foot touched the ground at just about the same time the ball came loose (http://deadspin.com/5878309/did-lee-evans-catch-a-game+winning-touchdown-for-the-ravens)

Apparently Terrell Suggs called Skip Bayless a douchebag on ESPN First Take this morning.

All I have to say is.....it's about time someone did it.

I'll have to find the video of it.

Edit: Found it

I don't like Terrell Suggs but he's completely right there.

I think the call probably would have stood (not overturned), but I'm still surprised they didn't at least look.

The thing is, if that's in the field of play, that's being called an incompletion. I don't think two feet counts for possession other than for out of bounds.

I'm okay with the call. Evans should have held onto that one. It was a perfect pass by Flacco. The only problem that I have is that it was not reviewed. Kind of surprising that a play that close doesn't merit review when just about everything else does in the final two minutes.

Time for my analysis of Cleveland's offseason needs! Yay and so forth! I've got them listed by level of importance.

1. Quarterback: Colt McCoy isn't the answer. The obvious solution is to trade up with St. Louis or Minnesota for Robert Griffin. With two first round picks this season, (Theirs and Atlanta's.) Cleveland is the most well equipped of any of the other QB-needy teams to do a deal. I'd be utterly shocked if such a deal doesn't happen.

2. Right tackle: Tony Pashos sucks massively and needs to be replace ASAP. There isn't anyone good on the free agent market, so they'll probably have to fix this through the draft.

3. Number one receiver: Greg Little looks to be a solid player, but they still lack a true number one wideout. There are lots of good options in free agency, including Dwayne Bowe, Vincent Jackson, Stevie Johnson, and Marques Colston. Bowe, Jackson, and Johnson are all varying degrees of knuckleheaded, so they're somewhat risky, and Colston is the football equivalent of a Mariners or Padres pitcher; he may not actually be as good as he seems due to the team he came from. Another potentially intriguing option is Pierre "Stone Hands" Garcon from Indy. He drops passes left and right, but he had some good games this season with Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky at QB, so he has legitimate skill and is not just a product of Peyton Manning.

4. Defensive end: I have only one thing to say on this subject; MARIO WILLIAMS.

5. Guards: Shawn Lauvao and Jason Pinkston suck, and who knows if Eric Steinbach will be the same after his back surgery. This needs to be addressed very early in the draft.

6. Outside linebacker: Scott Fujita has been a good player for quite a while, but he's had injury problems and is getting old. A young, developing player like Erin Henderson would be a nice pickup.

7. Cornerback: Sheldon Brown has had a nice career, but it's coming to an end. They'll need to find a replacement for him sooner rather than later.

8. Free safety: Mike Adams is okay, but they could do better. Still, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they just re-signed him.

No way Houston allows Williams to walk. They'll pay him but even if they can't come to an agreement they'll franchise him and the new CBA made the franchise tag more favorable to teams (lower salaries awarded). Do you think Cleveland would surrender the 4th pick plus 2013's first rounder to sign Williams?

I wonder if Houston will keep Williams at all. Reed and Barwin played well in his absence, and he isn't the best fit in a 3-4.

I think it is in their best interest to trade him, especially if you can get 2 firsts.

I don't think they can get two first in a trade. That's only if the franchise him and he signs elsewhere. If they tried to trade him they wouldn't get as much.

That's one position where you can never have enough talent. A pass rusher is probably the second or third most important position to fill on a roster.

Texans are ready to make their push, so I dont think they let him walk, nor do I think anyone is going to give up 2 firsts to turn around and give him a monster contract. If they cant get a deal done, Im thinking he is tagged if they can afford it.

Report: Tebow at pictures convention hotel

Tim Tebow's recent trip to Sin City saw him share a hotel with one of the world's largest pictures conventions, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The Denver Broncos star, famed for his clean-cut image as much as his Mile High miracles, checked into the Hard Rock Hotel in Paradise, just outside Las Vegas, on Jan. 18 while in town for a photo shoot.

Tebow was seen strolling through the hotel's casino on the day that a four-day Adult Entertainment Expo was opening, while most of the industry's leading performers were said to be in and around the Vegas Strip for the Adult Video News (AVN) Awards.

But the quarterback checked out without his spotless image sullied by shots of him passing the adult stars in the lobby.

A source told the newspaper that Tebow spent "most of the time" tucked away in his penthouse suit

I also have heard that back in November, Tebow ordered a cheeseburger while standing within three-hundred feet of a gay transsuxual Muslim midget prostitute. :smh:

Looks like some teams were really reaching when it came to hiring head coaches this year. Not sure Chuck Pagano was a good hire for the Colts. He has one year under his belt as defensive coordinator for the Ravens. I was shocked that the Colts hired him. I thought Pagano might be a head coach candidate in 2013 if the Ravens defense continued to be solid under him. Success as a Ravens D Coordinator doesn't actually translate to success as a head coach. I'm also not that crazy about the Schiano hire in TB. He's a decent college coach, but not a great one. I'll be really surprised if that one works out. It's not always easy for college coaches to make that transition.

I think most great college coaches are in better positions in financial and job security terms than they would be in the nfl

It will fail. The only one that was ever a serious threat was the USFL.
