I did last night... I had three, count em three waters on the rocks! Drinkin' dat H2 the izzo... Seriously, that's the first I've been to that bar in about 6 years. For a WV bar, I was surprised by the # of Bloods there...

On to the point however, absolute travesty. So sorry for the families of both men. I can't imagine what they are going through. I doubt any punishment handed down by law will have the impact of knowing you killed one of your friends by being irresponsible.

Ravens fire Cam Cameron

The Baltimore Ravens on Monday dismissed offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Cameron's dismissal comes after the Ravens' 31-28 overtime loss to the Redskins on Sunday, their second straight defeat.

After scoring 21 points in the first half Sunday, their offense's first four drives of the second half ended with quarterback Joe Flacco's fumble, his interception deep in Washington's territory and two three-and-outs.
"We kind of stopped ourselves today," Flacco, who completed 16 of 21 passes for 182 yards and three first-half TD passes, said Sunday.

The Ravens (9-4) lead the AFC North by two games over Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Baltimore is ranked 18th in total offense this season.

Cameron joined the Ravens in 2008 after he was fired as the coach of the Dolphins following a 1-15 season.

Caldwell was hired by Ravens after being fired by the Colts after Indianapolis' 2-14 season in 2011.

Before taking over as head coach at Indianapolis, Caldwell spent seven seasons as the team's quarterbacks coach. Under his direction, Peyton Manning won three NFL MVP awards. In 2004, Indianapolis went 12-4 behind Manning, who threw for a career-high 49 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions.

It's easier than cutting ties with Flaccid. Wasn't there a time when the Nats were getting managers fired by virtue of beating said teams even though they were really bad?

We had quite a run there for a while of getting managers fired.

Yes, this is rather reminiscent of that, isn't it?

Not kool aid, it's ghetto juice

I'm not drinking any kool aid man, just remaining optimistic. Although I'll freely admit that the Skins have far out played my expectations.

I didn't mean that in a negative way towards you. Ever since I made the bet with my brother the Skins haven't lost a game. They already cost me a bottle of rum.

I got ya... I believe in the jinx... Of course it's not much different than looking at the clock and seeing that it's 9:11 or something like that. You only notice it because it stands out.

When Gruden is on the ref's case, it's one sided.

Gruden is always on the ref's case. The Texans have had 3 penalties called against them. An illegal formation penalty, a defensive holding call and one pass interference. There's no disputing the first two penalties. The PI was not a good call and it extended the drive that led to the 3rd TD. That doesn't account for the first two TD's nor for the confusion of their defense in the red zone on the 3rd TD.

That was not a good showing for the Texans on the big stage.

It drives me nuts that, when the patriots get a multiple score lead, they seem to go deep even more often than they did in building the lead.  The 2d quarter and most of the third were a bunch of 3 and outs set up by missed deep throws on first down.  Stick to possession passing, Ridley, and "Ben" Vereen.   I don't like houston having so many chances with the ball and an opportunity to make it a 2 score game.

Admittedly, I'd rather have the problem of not being patient with a multi score lead than having to come back against one . . .

As for the PIs, as a general rule, it is safe to throw a flag when Kyle Arrington is in coverage.  That said, the kid Dennard was a heck of a pick up.  He makes a nice book end for Talib.  We call our corners "The Model Citizens."

Tagliabue let's players in the bounty case off the hook. If I were Sean Payton and the Saints I would be pissed off. This ruined their 2012 season.

tagliabue saved his ass by giving him an out before his 'evidence' became public in a public trial (though Vilma is apparently proceeding)
