I don't think Davey, of all people, will give up on Detwiler. Not good tonight, but he's been great for a #5.

Piece of crap is almost up to a three era- pitchers have off days, I can guarentee that almost everyone in the rotation will get rocked at some point this year

^^^ this. If we shipped someone out everytime someone had a bad game, Harper would be batting elsewhere, Edwin Jackson would be working a 9-5 and Desmond and Espinosa would be banished to a nether realm.

No doubt Det looks terrible tonight but I find it amusing that I seem to be the only one who's not going to write off his whole season based on this one start.

I agree.  I still thinks he's a good #5 starter.  Maybe CMW would be better but no way I give up on him after what we've seen in some of his starts.  He's just not going to be the top 3 pitcher we all hoped for on draft day.

I think he's just dumb, period, having listened to his postgame interviews a couple times this year.

This.

Seems like a nice guy, though.

I'm just mad at him tonight but he's been fine this year

It's not exactly easy to pitch in conditions like tonight. Plus, all pitchers have off nights. Det has certainly been over-achieving this year, but it's funny if people are ready to throw him off the bridge.

Stauffer should have let that one go, think Bernie's bunt would have rolled foul.

Can't be a shock at this point. RT @nickcafardo: Washington Nationals have a scout in Boston watching Boston's catchers.
