Leaving too many on base is a second meltdown

Giving up two runs in five innings is a total meltdown? How?

We had a legion of morons here insisting he should be rookie of the year.  :lmao:
He's been slumping for awhile now, but he shouldn't be far out of the race.  But yes, we're all morons for looking at the data objectively and not overreacting to recent events.

A home run to Reed Johnson. I'm pretty sure we're losing this one.

Damn, that ball was completely outside of the strike zone.  Vladi like.

Imagine how freaking awesome this team would be if the Nats hired SF and hammonds to be pitching and batting coaches (they'd be cheap too).

Yet we can't do the same against Rodrigo Lopez...and he's been throwing them right over the middle of the plate.

Detwiler doesn't seem to have it.

That's generally the rule with Detwiler. The decent outings are the rare exceptions.

Espinosa is just brutal right now.
Yep. I think they need to move him back down to the sixth spot.

I'd love for them to call up Lombardozzi and bat him in the number 2 spot.

Terrible pitch. Why do they keep pitching inside to him?!

 :wtf:

The pitch was completely OUTSIDE the strike zone, what the freak are you looking at?

Why do we keep parading Ross out there as a starter? He's not up to par

How many times are we going to bring Detwiler back out there before we can finally agree we've seen enough?

5th   R Johnson homered to left center.

Nationals 1
Cubs        3

NATIONALS THIRD BASEMAN RYAN ZIMMERMAN SINGLED IN THE TOP OF THE FIRST INNING TO EXTEND HIS HITTING STREAK TO 18 GAMES.

He will ignore this comment.  Either that or Reed's Johnson is so big that a pitch just off the outside corner is really an inside pitch to him.

He's not in the race at all anymore. It's a two-man race between the two Braves, Freeman and Kimbrel. Rightfully so at this point. Freeman's numbers all of a sudden dwarf Espinosa's.

It would've been inside if he had been batting from the left side tomterp. Or perhaps he meant "why don't they keep pitching him inside?". Pay attention.

Werth shows why he is a very good fielder.

He's still at or near the top of the charts in most offensive categories except batting average.  And he plays a much more difficult position than either Freeman or Kimbrel.

I know it's still Freeman's to lose, but it's not a light year's difference.

Debbi Taylor: "Morse says he feeds off of Ryan Zimmerman's at bats."  That stupid nag really thinks that phrase means something.  :lmao:
