I like the new blue road alternate Milwaukee uni's.  Yeah they look just like their home alternate ones with Brewers text, but it's a nice addition.

Wow, I can't believe Guzman got out quickly by swinging at a bad pitch.  He never does that.

I think their current look is awful.  Go back to what they had in the 80's.

He is talking about claims of collusion against veterans, specifically Edmonds.

Very, very meager crowd today.  Not a surprise.  Great job this year, Kasten.

If the Nats fans hadn't gotten the Roman Shower treatment that the Phillies are known for, more might show up today.

Yeah, that crowd seems pathetic for a saturday day game.  Though, I have noticed that a good portion of the people that come to day games do not arrive until around 3rd-4th inning.

Livan has lost the strike zone.

Yeah he is starting to nibble.  But does anyone else think a lot of the umps have a tighter strike zone this year than past years.  It is a trend I have been noticing in nearly every MLB game I have watched this year.

Livo doubles up!  He is an excellent fielding pitcher.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

The zones this year have been so small.

Hammondsnats - against a lefty like wolf, I'd put Desmond #2.

I'm guessing that Willingham might also be a good #2.  Kind of like Nick with pop.  I'd like to get him to the plate more times than he can as a #5.

After playing with the Musings optmizer a couple time this week, I have a hunch it would spit out:
Dunn
Willingham
Rodriguez (if you use 2007/ 2008 hitting)
Zimmeman
Desmond
Guzman
Maxwell
Livo
Morgan

For what it is worth, of the top 30 orders, all had Morgan 9th, Dunn leading off; 80% had wllingham 2d, the rest had him 4th; Zimmerman was 2d when Willigham wasn't, otherwise he was 4th (or 5th in 5 line ups).  3d - mostly Rodriguez or guzman; 7th - Livo in all but 4 line ups (8th in 4). Guz -mostly 5th or 3d, Pudge - 3d or 8th.

Optimum line up projected as 4.82 -  4.83 runs, actual 4.76.  Probably takes a hit with Zimmerman batting 3d, but otherwise very close to optimum.  Line up 15 or so was dunn, willingham, guzman, zimmerman, pudge, max, desmond, livo, morgan.  As long as you maximize dunn, willingham, and zimmerman's at bats, and have morgan fairly close and before them in the order (or 9th), you'll optimize. Close to what riggs has done.
