Luke is Darth Vader's son

On a serious note, while there would be little use for this on the non off topic boards, it makes no sense not to have spoiler tags enabled. I'm assuming the forum software has them included, and they just aren't enabled, so it would seem an obvious decision to add them as long as it's fairly simple to do so. I didn't even realize any forum software as complex and well designed as the one WNFF uses didn't have spoiler tags as a default at this point.

Edit to add... If someone wanted to post something with spoilers, the ability does already exist I realized after writing this. Simply change the text color to white. Bambi's mother dies so if it's too difficult for Chief, it really isn't that much harder to do spoilers within the confines of the existing forum setup. You just need to denote that there is a spoiler that needs to be highlighted, since with white on white it would appear there is nothing there in contrast to typical spoilers being black text with black highlights, sticking out on the screen as opposed to being totally invisible.

What's a spoiler tag, and why should I care?

I guess I could look into it, but are there really that many unavoidable spoilers posted here?  I can only think of 2, maybe 3 threads that would ever use spoiler tags, and even if I create them, you're still relying on people to use them, which is far from a given.

Why not just avoid the movie review section if you're worried about spoilers?

One might want impressions of a movie without having the movie ruined.

Right, but again you're trusting someone else's judgment on what constitutes spoilers.  You're also trusting them to use the tags at all.

In my day we didn't need spoiler tags.  We had a thing called self-control! :old:

There you go.  Now get off my lawn :P

I prefer the white text, as it becomes apparent when quoted:

Don't your colors alternate from white to grey on posts?  I can clearly see what you wrote in white on both posts with a grey background on my iPhone.  Also, the spoiler stuff becomes apparent when quoted too.

Nice. I've seen this in use on other forums and it is helpful.
