I'd trade Belliard for a case of Samuel Adams

I'd trade him for a 12 pack of Miller Lite or a pack of Bazooka gum.

I'd trade pretty much anybody for a bag of peanuts, a small bag.

You can only say that if you actually knew him personally.
Not true; that statement is very consistent with quotes I've read & the way the beat writers depict his overall attitude

Wow, Zimm is just bad.  He is climbing up the ladder towards the leaders in strikeouts.

Based on the pitcher we're going against, this is, far and away, the worst offensive performance of the season.

And there have been so many bad ones to choose from.

Face it, other than Zimmerman and Lannan, we should entertain trade offers for everybody on the 25 man roster right now.  Unfortuantely, nobody wants any of the rest of them.

That's clearly not the same as knowing a person. People can be misquoted not to mention reading a quote doesn't always give you the tone of the statement.

No kidding; I watched this guy pitch against us once and caught a few other of his games on the dish.  He sucked every time.   I think our offensive "performance" in this game is as embarrassing as our pitching "performance."

I wonder if the offseason wrist surgeries stymied Zimm to the point where this is going to be a lost year.

We'll have to agree to disagree.   A person I trust relayed a conversation he had with FLop & I believe him.

Why are you looking for excuses to make for Zimmerman? He has been one of our worst players this season, especially considering the spot in the lineup he hits in. We need to be consistent and rip on everyone that deserves it.

I don't care one way or the other....all I know is that the Nats went to great lengths to make excuses for his poor play last year because of his undisclosed personal issues.

I agree.  Zimmerman gets a free pass for no reason.  He is absolutely killing this team.  A lot of people act like its blasphemy if you point out that he sucks.

This game is featuring Chico, O'Connor and Hanrahan, hopefully this means they are giving them their last shot. Maybe Colome can follow.

You appear to be doing the same thing for Zimmerman.

I think the Nats should have a promotion to allow angry fans to punch Jim Bowden in the nuts since that is what he has done to us assembling this dreadful team.  I hope his Segway blows up while he's riding it.

He has absolutely sucked - don't get me wrong, but I was just posing the question if maybe he came back too soon from wrist surgery, or he didn't develop this off season like we would have liked because of it.  Who knows.  This is an organization-wide system failure.

Anyone think Zimm has some latino in him?  He seems to be above the law according to Manny.

Did you all hear that the Nats changed the words to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Nationals Park?
