Vidro drops the potential DP ball, as the VHS fires up their replay machines...
The New Yuk dogs howl as another run scores...

i don't know about any of you but if jose vidro catches that ball on schneider's throw ...

we'd be up 4-3.  thanks a lot vidro.
blah blah blah blah...talk talk talk.  Nobody wants to give any responsibility to the guy who actually THREW the ball to allow the home run.

he wouldn't have given up a homer if vidro can catch the ball.
:?  I can see the Vidro Haters Society is ready to pounce like a cat whenever Jose makes any mistake whatsoever.   :?

It's amazing no one jumps on (SO)riano and some of the lovely, fine quality, strike outs, and bad pitches he has been hacking at lately.

That's because we already knew you would...it's actually your job...

Bergmann gives up his 11th home run in 56 innings pitched...
Anyone else like a home run for the Mets - we're serving them up for free...for the dogs...

Did Johnson get kneed in the johnson?  I thought it was a head-to-head collision at first, but they're saying he got kneed.

They're putting Johnson on a stretcher...I wouldn't want to collide with Kearns.
The replay makes it hard to say how he got hurt.
They're immobilizing his right leg, so maybe he broke it.  Ouch!  He won't be able to drive a car for a long time.

That's just a horrible situation for everybody.  Johnson probably broke his leg.

i may be wrong, but the angle that i saw his leg, it almost looks like a joe theismann-like injury (compound break)...

i sure hope thats not the case, his career could be over if that happened and i cant imagine many things more painful.

I was thinking the same thing.  That would be a career-ending injury.   :(

It looked in the replay more like Johnson's leg went out from under him just as they were about to collide, so maybe he tore his knee up.  But they created a very large splint that covered his whole leg.

GAME OVER.
What was really the point of bringing F-Rod back to the team.
He comes into this game when we're one run behind (because O'C was left in to give up 6 ER's).
F-Rod walks 2, gives up 3 hits and 3 ER's.  His ERA is 7.16 and he's given up 22 runs in 27 IP.

Yep, Frank really blew this one big time.  Good thing Bowden/Kasten hate him as well.  They haven't talked to him one bit about his "future" with this club.
