Is it possible Middlebrooks Hood suffered due to early scouting reports? He was a football guy and never played baseball full time until he was a pro. His progression at every level seems to suggest he's just learning how to translate his raw tools into becoming a baseball player. His approach & contact rates seem to back this up.
