Although Hill has looked like garbage too many other things have gone wrong. Dukes misplays Roberts' drive and then Milledge nuts all over himself in CF. Not to mention our offense is still shooting blanks with RISP.

Doesn't Zimmerman usually get balls like that?
Possibly. Tough play.  Should have never happened though. Just an absolute horrible pitch by Hill on an 0-2 count.

Game over.  With Dukes and Pena in the game, no chance to put up enough offense to get back into it.

We look like a Little League team again, similar to how we looked in the Houston and Florida series.  We played close to perfect baseball in the series against the Mets but tonight we have done everything possible to lose this game.

We do not need our pitchers pitching when they are sick ever again.  That's inexcusable.

But you can't just call someone up in their place. That's just an unfortunate thing.

Doesn't Zimmerman usually get balls like that?

Can't get them every time.

piece of freaking crap. Hill is a moron. 0-2 count and he gives him a hittable pitch.

That happens entirely too often with our staff. The catcher used to get blamed for it before Flores took over full time :?

Millar is such a dead pull hitter, Zimmerman was probably playing on the line.

We need to pull the plug on this amateur hour crap in the outfield. Just put in Willie Harris.

yeah because that one catch makes him the greatest outfield on earth right?

Why are they going to their pen so early?

You can see the wind blowing Capitol Hill's uniform around, so I wonder how much it's affecting balls being hit.

Anybody ever play Hotbox, a sandlot game which simulates that rundown play on the base paths?

Huff scores on throw to the plate; Millar thrown out trying for 2nd to end the inning.

Nationals 3
Oreelas 5

He was getting hit pretty hard. Still, only 70 pitches. The O's had off days on Monday and yesterday, so the bullpen could use the work.

Good walk. Flores is easily one of our Top 2 or 3 hitters.

Leadoff walk is a great way for the bullpen to make its presence felt. :)

We can't have one-pitch outs when we need runs!

Pena is just god awful. He sees the 23-year old catcher work a walk and then that dummy swings at the first pitch.

No, but he is major league caliber. Which is more than I can say about what we're trotting out there now.

Pena's goodwill is starting to run out, for sure.

We're not going anywhere with an OF of Milledge, Pena, and Dukes. They are all freaking horrible fielders + hitters.
