Wow, the cheers are real weak for the Nationals players.

But then we won't sell out.

I'll take that over this, but I'm sure the Lerners and Stan Kasten like the money more.

James Brown of NFL broadcasting fame and DC native.

More than that.  James Brown is PART OWNER of the Washington Nationals, a minority owner in more ways than one.  He's in the photos from the announcement of baseball returning to Washington.

Win games and the Phillies fans will magically disappear.

The Nationals will catch on more once we start winning, its just the nature of baseball and to be honest sports in general. If anything we are lucky to have the amount of fans we do and most of them are very dedicated Nats fans.

It wasn't that long ago that the Phillies were a real bad team. I guess they forgot about those days.

Sure, but it doesn't change the fact that it is embarrassing to have the visiting teams cheering louder than your own team's fans for the introductions.  Lets hope we can shut them up quick.

The BEST WAY to shut up those Phillie fans is to win the ballgame.  PERIOD. Especially to spank their ace Halliday.  Send them home UNHAPPY.

I think a lot of Washington's 'fans' are just people there to have a good time. They don't care about the team.

The Phillies fans that traveled there are there only to see one thing, their team.

I think this assessment is pretty accurate. When you travel to go to a road game, you're a diehard, where I bet a good chunk of the DC "fans" are there only because it's the first home opening day at Nationals Park.

Just line Nats fans will when/if they get good.  They've been mostly good since the turn of the century, 2000 and 2002 the exception

Indians @ White Sox on ESPN2 at 2 pm

WTF?  I mean I guess it'd be nice to watch Team Acta get nagsmacked on national TV, but I really couldn't give two craps about that team this year.

The more I think about it, the more likely I would tear into Kasten's ass about inviting Phillies fans to the game if I was Dunn or Zimm.

I'd be pissed if I'm getting booed at my home opener... and that snake oil salesman would be the first to hear about it.

What's he going to do? Suggest to Rizzo that I get cut?

Not to get political here, but I just hope the crazies out there realize that if something happens to our President, Joe Biden takes over.

Please don't do anything stupid.

Mix of cheers and boos for Barack.

At least he's wearing a Nats jacket.

So, who got more boos when they threw out the first pitch, Obama or Bush?

Well I'd boo him for wearing that White Sox hat, too.
