We need to get Lannan some runs.  This is the best pitching performance of the year so far.  If it wasn't for sorry ass Pena, this would be a 1 hit shutout.

Wow. JL's offspeed stuff is pretty sick right now.
His 90 MPH fastball is solid too especially because he is locating it perfectly.

This is awesome although he's got a long way to go.  He'll have to be perfect for the rest of the game to get a win. Our offense has reached it's limit of 2 runs. This is the type of pitching that sent him soaring through the minors.  His location is amazing.

I've seen little leaguers who hit better than Nieves.

I'm telling you. Nieves is a very terrible hitter.

You know what the worst part is? Next time John pitches he might give up 6 runs on 4 innings again, I hope not but our pitching staff is too inconsistent. For the time being I just hope our offense given John some run support.

Guz with a 1 pitch out.. gulp. Our offense is done for the night.  It must be hell having to pitch and know you have to be perfect to win.

How many more days until we can send Nieves back for Flores?

Our pitching staff has actually done BETTER than expected so far, IMO. This was supposed to be a year where the offense would make up the difference in a lot of games. Good pitching was supposed to be a bonus.

Lannan needs a 1-2-3 here so he has the pitcher up first in the 6th.

Quoted for Absolute Truth. Our pitching is actually better than the sum of its parts. It's the hitting that sucks.

This is a big out.  Need this to have the pitcher start the next inning.
