May I ask what purpose having Maxwell on the roster serves if he can't hit and can't field?

And offensively, Maxwell is a grand slam specialist. He's got 3 now in just over 200 PA's. Compare to Jeter, who has 1 in over 10,000 PA's. If Jeter hit them at the same rate, he'd have over 150 by now.
