Another take on the 'question". Read through the thread and found some thoughtful answers and sensitivity towards Bryces age and religion.I would propose an alternate motivation on the reporters question. Assuming he was a local beat writer covering the Jays and a proud native of Canada with a slight prejudice towards  the quality of Canadian beer he tossed out a harmless question to a visiting American. I have found that many Americans relish the opportunity to drink Canadian beer on Canadian soil.Possibly no more than a harmless plug for LaBatts and Molson , not knowing that BH was a Mormon and under age to drink beer in the USA.

It's going viral.
I heard Charles Krauthammer say it to Gordon Peterson on the Inside Washington show the other night.
