Define Natitude
« Topic Start: December 16, 2011, 05:26:43 PM »
The focus of this thread is on bashing ownership and management for a complete lack of offseason moves.  It will be considered trolling to post a comment about advanced statistics.  It will be assumed that the team will have a budget somewhere in the $45 - $55 MM range, so "sign anybody" will be assumed to be trolling too.  Posts should be focused on discussion of missed opportunities, worthless trades, and other general unfounded attacks on the old man who can easily afford to have us all disappear under a major construction site.  Comments on various players and how they prefer to play for any other MLB team will be welcome, especially if they focus on their baseball abilities and general common sense.

If you want to substantive dialog, then please post in the Ballpark Guys forum.

I hope this thread doesn't get deleted.

Natitude, to me, is the complete and utter failure to do what you set out to do every offseason (i.e. front of the rotation starter, mythical leadoff hitting CFer).

HAHAHAHAHA now they are out on Oswalt?!?!

LANC/SSS have no room to nag and moan in the first month of the season when milone/peacock/detwiler have bad outings.

Ok, just so I'm clear, this is the thread where you nag? Unlike all the other threads on this board where everyone is nagging?

Got it

Desmond and Werth leading off, that's Natitude!

@TailoredInNYC #Nats lineup prediction: Desmond, Werth, Zimmerman, Morse, Harper, LaRoche, Espinosa, Ramos, Pitcher. That's a good lineup.

Sure it sounds like a good lineup but I still don't like the idea of Harper being up here at the start. I'll take that back come Spring Training but our lineup could be much better if we had a quality CF or signed another OF and moved Werth to CF. That way when we bring Harper up we could move LaRoche or have him on the bench and replace him with Morse at 1b.

Edit: I could be totally wrong and its a success right from the get go. I'm just still a little worrisome.

I thought he was a bum ass clown in Philly.  I can't wait for the Phans to start throwing monkey dung at his sorry azz next season.

Let me stop you right there.

Any lineup that includes Ian Desmond leading off is already invalidated as a good lineup.

Natitude is when your ballclub reaches their primary objective without ever hitting the .500 mark for a season!

Quote from: Mark_Lerner
While free agents and trade rumors will be floating all over the internet for the next few months as we approach Spring Training, just remember that we have already achieved our primary objective from when we gained control of the club in 2006; we wanted to have a steady pipeline of impactful talent spread throughout our Minor League system because we felt strongly about the fact that this is the best method to sustain success.
