I think I'm pulling for Adam Oates to be successful as much as any player.   Looking foward to the action.

I just want to say it was awful nice of the Lakers to reserve a space in their rafters for another's banner.

Doc is the only NBC announcer with a shred of intelligence, and unfortunately he sounds like a screeching banshee.  But, hey, who cares, it's hockey!  And in a couple of hours the Joe & Craig show will serve as proof that the earth remains in its proper orbit.

@ ALI, yup. can't wait for the Sabres Bruins games. Boston pushed Buffalo around at ease last year, even thought Buffalo won some games. (No need to discuss the Miller Lucic fiasco)

Buffalo loaded up with Steve Ott and big bad John Scott - ready to take on Marchand, Lucic, etc.

fyi, this was a hit the other day here in the Buf, so I wanted to share - the tallest (Scott) and shortest (Gerbe) Sabres together.

My aunt used to live on Roycroft BLVD in Buffalo/Amherst.     Always went to the Inferno in Williamsville when I visited.   Sorry reminiscing  ....

Is the Inferno still there?   I would have gone there in the late '60s.    I think I saw The Temptations there in 1967   ....   but who can remember?      :)   Then there was Wilmer and the Dukes   ...

before my time, but everybody talks about it, so i know what you're talking about. ironically, there was a fire at the inferno. it is now a scenic area, having water falls, rivers - very nice.

Slomba's.

Never went there but there was a great little pub at Bailey and Main near the U of B campus.

i feel guilty. i came in and buffalo-ed this place - not even talking Caps. talking NHL tho. haha

When Washington is facing Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal...I'm all about seeing the red....or whatever the motto is in DC.

Don't know how much of this pre-game Baltimore slurping BS I can tolerate.    May have to skip it in the future.

I've been a lifelong Pissburgh Penguins fan.  The Blackhawks do have the best unis in the NHL though.

Next to the Detroit Redwings.
