No. The team's only been in Washington for 5 years and the pitching staff (starters and bullpen) has changed almost entirely every year.
We should have ONE pitcher to stay with the team for five years!
I'll agree, this starting rotation has changed an obscene amount on a year to year basis. But I would say we are correcting this. You've now got Zimmermann and Strasburg near guarantees for the next few years. I still believe Maya is going to be a third we can add to that at the end of the season.
But yeah, anyone looking for a jarring shock, look at a list of starting pitchers over the past five years. The number of different ones we've had, and how forgetable 90% of their names are (IE not with the team for more than a couple months) is eyebrow raising to say the least, and certainly a prime reason for our failures. That Lannan is one of the longest tenured, well, again, says a lot about the team. Blame it on Bowden.
